Ingredients
- 1 large onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, or more to taste
- 3 Tbsp. fat-free chicken broth
- 3 cups cooked fat-free refried beans
- 4 oz. can green chilies, chopped
- 2 cups fat-free mozzarella cheese, grated
- 1 cup fat-free cheddar cheese, grated
- 16 oz. jar taco sauce
- 1 cup fat-free sour cream
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 400ºF.
- Sauté diced onion and garlic in chicken broth.
- Stir in refried beans.
- Spread into a 9 x 13 inch casserole dish.
- Sprinkle green chilies over top of bean mixture.
- Spread half of cheese over this.
- Pour taco sauce over cheese.
- Sprinkle remaining cheese on top and bake for 20-25 mins.
- Cool slightly and spoon sour cream to make a cross on top of casserole.
- Serve with fat-free tortilla chips or other dippables.
