A Diagnosis of Necrotizing Enterocolitis

Shortly after birth, Dorian Vasquez was diagnosed with necrotizing enterocolitis and was transferred to UC Davis Children’s Hospital for care. A large part of his bowel needed to be removed. But with help from his teams in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, Dorian had a remarkable recovery and can now eat and digest food like a normal three year old.
