Meet a cord blood recipient
Francesca Arnaudo, a three-time cancer survivor, received a public donation of unrelated (non-family member) umbilical cord blood at UC Davis Medical Center in 2005 to treat acute myeloid leukemia.
Today, Francesca is thriving. She's an honors student who recently competed and won the title of Miss Junior Teen, Sacramento County.
She is one of thousands of Americans who have benefitted from life-saving cord blood donations.
