Caregiver policy for outpatient clinic visits
Last updated May 21, 2020
To help limit spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), we have new policies for visits to our outpatient clinics. For your safety, only one essential caregiver or loved one may accompany patients.
The caregiver or loved one can wait in the clinic lobby or designated waiting area, if the visitor is masked and able to maintain at least 6 feet of space from others. If there are too many visitors in a waiting area at one time and proper social distancing cannot be maintained, some visitors may be politely asked to wait outside.
If the patient or the person with them is experiencing any of the following flu-like symptoms – coughing; sneezing or runny nose; fever or recent fever; headache or muscle aches – patients will be required to wear a mask, and caregivers may not be allowed in.
Thank you for your understanding at this difficult time.
