Course description

The Baby Friendly Breastfeeding Practicum provides the nurse with a hands-on demonstration of breastfeeding assessment and the maintenance of lactation. This course also meets the Breastfeeding clinical education needed for Baby Friendly designation. Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Children’s hospital nurses are encouraged to enroll.


Please dress in hospital scrubs or clinical work attire as participants will work hands-on.

C.E. contact hours

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 26, for 5.0 contact hours.

Attendees will not receive C.E. credit if they are more than 20 minutes late; no partial credit can be awarded.
