Course description

This is a one-day course that will cover a variety of evidence-based information as well as new innovation and updates in the field of neuroscience. It is designed for all interprofessional care providers of patients who have Deep Brain Stimulators placed, experience second phase seizures, require lumbar drain management for hydrocephalus or have had skull base tumors removed. This course will enhance the participant’s knowledge of advances in the treatment and management of a range of neurological conditions.

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 26, for 6.0 contact hours.

The UC Davis Health Center for Professional Practice of Nursing is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

To receive continuing education credit, participant must sign in on the official roster in-person, or have full name viewable if attending virtually, and be present for entire content presentation. Attendees will not receive C.E. credit if they are more than 20 minutes late; no partial credit can be awarded.

In-person: $50 registration fee.
Virtual: $25 registration deposit.

Community registrants

In-person: $140 registration fee.
Virtual: $90 registration fee.

Refund policy

Cancellation must be requested fourteen days prior to class to receive a full refund. A $50 service fee will be charged after this date. If the provider cancels the course a full refund will be provided.

Parking is available in parking lots 4, 12 and 17 with a UC Davis parking permit. A daily permit is available for purchase for $6 from the kiosks in lots 14 (2nd Ave. & 45th St.) and 18 (49th St. & V St.).
