This class will be held virtually.

Course description

This course provides a foundation for fluid and electrolyte requirements of neonates. Impacts of neonatal-associated complications, including prematurity and gastrointestinal disorders, will be reviewed. This course will also review neonatal nutritional requirements, enteral nutrition, parenteral nutrition and management of nutrition in infants with neonatal complications. Lastly, the learner will be provided with information pertaining to infant feeding cues and feeding techniques.

Virtual session requirements

Follow the virtual participation guidelines, including being on camera, engaging in activities, and attesting to participation.

C.E. contact hours

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 26, for 3.83 contact hours.

Attendees will not receive C.E. credit if they are more than 20 minutes late; no partial credit can be awarded.
