Course description
Understanding and treating pain involves integration of evidence-based applications, practice tools, and resources available to nurses. This class is designed to advance our understanding and treatment of pain by developing the confidence, knowledge, and critical thinking of pain management intervention. This course will provide nurses with the tools necessary to progress toward safer and more effective pain relief.
C.E. contact hours
Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 26, for 3.75 contact hours.
The UC Davis Health Center for Professional Practice of Nursing is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Attendees will not receive C.E. credit if they are more than 20 minutes late; no partial credit can be awarded.

UC Davis employees
$25 registration deposit. Registration deposit is returned upon completion of class. Cancellation must be requested five days prior to class date to receive deposit refund.
Community registrants
$57 registration fee. Cancellation must be requested five days prior to class date to receive a full refund. A $25 service fee will be charged after this date.

Parking
Employee parking is available in parking structure 4, lots 12, 17 and 18 with either a B permit or daily permit. Employee daily permits are available for purchase with the ParkMobile app using zone number 42201. Visitor daily permits can be purchased from the dispenser in lot 25 for $6 or from the Flowbird App and can be used in lots 22, 25, 30, Broadway and EDD.
