Course description
This workshop will demonstrate the use of reiki as a technique for relaxation, stress reduction and pain management. This type of touch therapy can be used as an adjunctive tool to alter the perception of pain. This class will include the demonstration and return demonstration of the reiki exercises and how to use reiki to improve patient comfort.

Target audience
This class is intended for health-care providers and employees of UC Davis Health. Parents of UC Davis Children's Hospital patients are also encouraged to attend.
Course materials
Please bring an exercise/backpacking mat to lie down on.
Prerequisite
Participants must have completed a Reiki, Level I class.
Class attendance
Be courteous and on time. It is disruptive to other students and instructors and difficult for late students to catch up once the class starts. Students are expected to attend and participate in the entire course. You will not be allowed to attend the class if you are 20 minutes or later.
C.E. contact hours
Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 26, for 11.33 contact hours. Participants must attend all four days to receive C.E. credit.
Attendees must attend all 4 days to receive C.E. credit. Attendees will not receive C.E. credit if they are more than 5 minutes late on any day; no partial credit can be awarded.

UC Davis employees
$25 registration deposit. Registration deposit is returned upon completion of class. Cancellation must be requested five days prior to class date to receive deposit refund.
Community registrants
$120 registration fee. Cancellation must be requested five days prior to class date to receive a full refund. A $25 service fee will be charged after this date.

Parking
Parking is available in parking lots 14, 16, the staff parking structure and parking structure 3 with a UC Davis parking permit. A daily permit is available for purchase for $6 from the kiosks in lots 14 (2nd Ave. & 45th St.) and 16 (2nd Ave. & Stockton Blvd.).
