Course description
This course will discuss the theory behind utilization of the wound VAC and provide hands-on demonstrations. At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to define and describe VAC therapy and its benefits, demonstrate the principles involved in placing a VAC dressing on a wound, operate the VAC unit, discuss the progression of the wound during VAC therapy and understand the Mini-VAC technology.
Class attendance
Be courteous and on time. Students are expected to attend and participate in the entire course. Participants will not be allowed to attend the session if they are more than 5 minutes late. Late participants are considered a no show and any deposit will be forfeited.
C.E. contact hours
Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 26, for 2.0 contact hours.
Attendees will not receive C.E. credit if they are more than 5 minutes late; no partial credit can be awarded.

UC Davis employees
$25 registration deposit. Registration deposit is returned upon completion of class. Cancellation must be requested five days prior to class date to receive deposit refund.
Community registrants
$25 registration fee. Cancellation must be requested five days prior to class date to receive a full refund. A $25 service fee will be charged after this date.

Parking
Parking is available in the Broadway Building parking lot, EDD or lot 25 with either a B permit or daily permit. Visitor daily permits can be purchased from the dispenser in lot 25 for $6 or from the Flowbird App. Employee daily permits are available for purchase with the ParkMobile app using zone number 42201.
