Course description

This Neuroscience Conference Update 2022 Online Course is a self-directed e-learning module designed for UC Davis Health Nurses who are interested in the management of neuroscience patients. 

This course covers a variety of evidence-based information, updates, and innovation in the field of neuroscience. This course will enhance the participant’s knowledge of advances in the treatment and management of a range of neurological conditions. It is designed for all interprofessional care providers of patients who have Deep Brain Stimulators placed, experience second phase seizures, require lumbar drain management for hydrocephalus or have had skull base tumors removed. To receive continuing education credit, participants must attest to full participation in the virtual learning.

Upon completion of e-learning module, learners will report an increased confidence in managing patients with neuroscience conditions during post class survey.

C.E. contact hours

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 26, for 5.0 contact hours.

To earn 5 contact hours, learners must complete the following

  1. Review the online module and its learning activities. Sound must be enabled for the duration of the educational activity.  This activity will take approx. 5 hours.
  2. Complete the online evaluation.
  3. Complete the module attestation.
