Gender-inclusive restrooms at UC Davis Health
UC Davis Health is strongly committed to creating and sustaining an environment that supports and values all members of our community – including patients, visitors, students and staff.
In order to provide access and equality in a safe and inclusive environment, UC Davis Health offers gender-inclusive restroom facilities in a number of buildings on the Sacramento campus.
Gender-inclusive restrooms are single-occupancy or single-stall restrooms. Each is marked with the international convention of a triangle within a circle, without gender pictograms.

Installation of the single-occupancy toilet facilities marks the end of the first phase of implementation of gender-inclusive facilities, led by the health's Facilities Design and Construction. The second phase will consist of remodeling existing facilities when remodeling opportunities present themselves. The third phase establishes policy for the future provision of gender-inclusive restrooms, showers and changing rooms in all new UC Davis facilities.
