Beginning July 1, 2014, the UC Davis Department of Emergency Medicine offers a two-year fellowship in medical education. This program is intended to provide fellows pursuing careers in academic Emergency Medicine with the fundamental skills of medical education scholarship, excellence and innovation in teaching, and membership in the greater community of medical educators both within and outside the UC Davis system. Fellows will complete a two-year master's level training program through UC Davis, including course work in curriculum design and assessment, adult learning theory, quantitative and qualitative research methods, and assessment tool design.  Fellows will receive extensive training in healthcare simulation and will have opportunities to participate in innovative teaching on both the undergraduate and graduate level.
