The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) presented its Master Interventionalists of SCAI (MSCAI) designation to Frank Ing, chief of pediatric cardiology and co-director of the UC Davis Pediatric Heart Center.
This was presented during the MSCAI Ceremony at the SCAI 2019 Scientific Sessions in Las Vegas on May 22. The MSCAI designation is given to people who have demonstrated excellence in invasive/interventional cardiology in their career and for their commitment to clinical care, innovation, publication and teaching.
Ing was among eight cardiologists to receive the designation. The Society noted his achievements in “the development of transcatheter techniques, delivery systems and cardiovascular devices to treat congenital heart disease from the fetus to the elderly.”
