Kandice Duns, assistant nurse manager of the UC Davis Newborn Nursery and coordinator of the Newborn Hearing Screen Program, has been named part of the 2019 Emerging Leaders Cohort by The Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN).
The mission of the Emerging Leaders Program is to engage existing and qualified nursing leaders to promote the image of nursing. Emerging Leaders are already expert leaders within their own space and seek to develop large-scale leadership skills and acumen for current and future AWHONN leadership.
Duns is one of 10 people who are part of this cohort.
“I am so honored to have been selected for the 2019 AWHONN Emerging Leaders cohort! The energy and passion we share for improving the health of women and newborns reinforces my belief that nurses DO make a difference,” said Duns.
The Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit membership organization. Our mission is to empower and support nurses caring for women, newborns, and their families through research, education, and advocacy.
