Making and managing ‘worry monsters’: Creative Arts Therapy session on Facebook (Friday, April 10, 3 p.m.)

Times of heightened stress and anxiety can be unsettling for children, but the Creative Arts Therapy staff at UC Davis Children’s Hospital are sharing some techniques on how people can help youngsters identify and cope with their worries.

In the next installment of the Friday afternoon Facebook Live sessions, Child Life Specialist Sherry Petta and Art Therapist Katie Lorain will show viewers how to create “worry monsters” and use them to facilitate difficult conversations with children, emphasizing the importance of validating and containing their fears.
