The Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program helps provide vaccines to children whose parents or guardians may not be able to afford them. This helps ensure that all children have a better chance of getting their recommended vaccinations on schedule. The California VFC Program is administered by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Immunization Branch.

The UC Davis Pediatric Ambulatory Service ordered more than 90% of their target flu doses, achieving an “excellent” rating.

“The California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Immunization Branch thanks you for your participation in the California Vaccines for Children Program and your commitment to protecting your patients and your community against the dangers of influenza. We commend your efforts,” wrote Robert Schecter, interim chief of CDPH’s immunization branch.
