Reminder: With Skype going away June 30, IT offers resources on transitioning to MS Teams

After June 30, Skype will no longer be available for the UC Davis Health community. All Skype users are encouraged to make the transition to Microsoft Teams (MS Teams) as early as possible. The Davis campus is undergoing a similar transition.

MS Teams, which integrates seamlessly with Outlook, includes a suite of features that enable enhanced collaboration, on-the-fly meetings, and direct messaging (chat). Through MS teams, users are able to securely edit files at the same time; see “likes”, @mentions, and replies with a single tap; and customize the tool by adding notes, websites, and apps.

Explore these features and how-to guides on IT Education’s MS Teams page.

In addition, IT has created an eLearning to help users make the transition. Access the class from the UC Learning Center by using the course code DAHS-ITE-50162, or by clicking the link in the following course title: Getting Started with Microsoft Teams.
