September 2021 Women in Medicine Month celebrates the extraordinary contributions of women physicians

American Medical Association’s Women in Medicine Month focuses on ‘Advancing Equity, Building on Change’

September is the American Medical Association’s Women in Medicine Month and a welcome opportunity to thank all of UC Davis Health’s extraordinary women physicians, residents and medical students for their dedication to advancing health equity in our missions to provide the best care, educate the next generation of physicians and conduct innovative research.

This year’s Women in Medicine Month focuses on Advancing Equity, Building on Change and offers a series of events and opportunities to help advance gender equity in medicine.  

On September 8, from noon - 1 p.m., the UC Davis Health’s Women in Medicine and Health Sciences (WIMHS) will also host Navigating a Career in Academic Medicine, featuring this year’s Robert E. Stowell Endowed Lecturer Kathleen R. Cho, M.D. Cho is the Peter A. Ward Professor of Pathology and vice chair for Academic Affairs at the University of Michigan Medical School.
