UC Davis Medical Center has again been named one of the “100 Great Hospitals in America.” The annual honor is put together by Becker's Hospital Review, which identifies excellence, leadership and innovation in the hospital and health care sector.
Becker's selected hospitals for its 2020 list based on analysis of several ranking and award agencies, including U.S. News and World Report's 2019-20 rankings, CareChex, Healthgrades, CMS star ratings, Leapfrog grades and IBM Watson Health top hospitals.
“Appearing in a list alongside so many outstanding hospitals is a great honor, and a testament to the extraordinary patient care and pioneering innovation that our providers and staff make possible, each and every day,” said Brad Simmons, interim CEO of UC Davis Medical Center. “This recognition is truly a credit to their hard work, passion and compassion.”
The publication also sought nominations for its list. Listed hospitals also provide quality patient care, conduct clinical research and have been recognized within the industry and by accrediting organizations for their commitment to excellence.
Among the UC health systems, UCLA Medical Center, UC San Diego Health-Jacobs Medical Center and UCSF Medical Center were also named to the Becker’s list.
