Year of the Nurse blog, Erin Cornelius: ‘You have to have the support of someone to do almost anything’

Erin Cornelius

More than ever, people are understanding how we are all connected with – and very much dependent on – each other. That is one of the themes of the Re-igniting the Spirit of Caring seminar series, which offers caregivers the opportunity to be vulnerable, connect with colleagues and draw mutual strength and support in their work and their lives. One of the program leaders, Erin Cornelius, says seeing the impact is immensely rewarding.

Hear Erin describe the power of this program, in her own words.

In celebration of Florence Nightingale's 200th birthday, 2020 is the Year of the Nurse. Beginning on National Nurses Week (May 6-12) and continuing throughout the year, a special blog will feature the stories, memories and motivations of UC Davis Health nurses.

Hear their words, and get to know why and how they invest such heart, passion, expertise and commitment in their life-changing work.
