Financial Support
All domestic first-year Ph.D. students are supported via an academic-year stipend. For 2004-2005 this stipend was $1770.00 per month. In subsequent years, the goal of the Microbiology Graduate Group is to provide financial support for domestic students through university fellowships, research assistantships, and teaching assistantships.
The Graduate Group in Microbiology in conjunction with the Graduate Division extends a guarantee of four years of financial support to nearly all resident graduate students.
Students are also encouraged to apply for national competitive fellowships.
