In this 34-minute episode, Diaz discusses his roots in the farming and ranching community of Yuba City, the beginning of his culinary career in a grocery store deli, and how he’s now working to bring healthy and local food to even more people – from Levi’s Stadium to the Golden 1 Center to UC Davis Health’s food and nutrition team, which serves 6,500 meals every day. His team's philosophy on sourcing locally, Diaz says, is a boon to community health, environmental sustainability and the region's economy.
