Interprofessional Collaboration
Our strong foundation of the importance of establishing relationships with the patient, family and all members of the health-care team has promoted a caring and healing environment. Nurses take responsibility to improve patient outcomes by coordinating communication and care with all members of the interdisciplinary team. Physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, dieticians, physical and occupational therapist, dieticians, and pharmacists to name a few, collaborate to meet the individual needs of each patient. Patients and families are encouraged to participate in their care and to experience collaboration with all disciplines. Interprofessional collaboration promotes us to treat each other and our patients and families with compassion, courage and integrity
