As a UC Davis Health employee, I know many of our health system’s doctors personally and trust them with my care. They’re all sensitive to ensuring I’m okay in my doctor visits, and tend to push me to do things I might be forgetful about – including getting my annual mammogram. As a patient, I appreciate that they remind me not to ignore these important matters.
My family also receives care at UC Davis Health. Even when we were previously a part of a PPO and I had my primary care provider with a Sutter physician – who was a UC Davis School of Medicine graduate – my spouse had all of his care with UC Davis Health. My husband and I now belong to an HMO plan, and I went back to my previous primary care provider who has left Sutter to practice at UC Davis Health!
Another fantastic aspect of my care is the MyUCDavisHealth portal. It is so easy to communicate with a care team member for a quick question or to straighten out a prescription matter. This spring, I had my first virtual visit with my primary care provider, and it was a great way to check in with my physician.
Everything about my care is exceptional, from the front line staff to nurses and residents. It’s always wonderful to see health care professionals I know grow into their roles they worked so hard to get.
