Dr. Smucny is a computational neuroscientist who focuses on developing prognostic clinical biomarkers for psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia.
Dr. Smucny's research interests are in using computational psychiatry to foster the development of novel, personalized treatment and prevention strategies for psychotic disorders. He is particularly interested in the applications of deep learning, transfer learning, explainable artificial intelligence, and complex statistical modeling in this area.
