For the entire day during regular programming, ABC10 will feature unique, local stories of children who have been treated at UC Davis Children’s Hospital. These inspiring stories will demonstrate the life-saving work that takes place every day at UC Davis Children’s Hospital.

The mediathon will feature ABC10 talent at the new UC Davis Children's Surgery Center, which is still under construction. Viewers will be asked to call in their donations to the toll-free number, 888-499-KIDS (5437), text "Give4Kids" to 51555 or make an online donation. ABC10 will also be promoting the mediathon to its social media followers on Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #Give4Kids.

Like all Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fundraisers, funds raised stay local, meaning all funds donated will stay right here in the Sacramento community to fund programs, research, equipment and patient care at UC Davis Children's Hospital.

The following are patient stories that will be featured on Aug. 3 (patient stories will continue to be posted on ABC10 today through Aug. 3):
