The symposium will offer a look at compassionate care and headlines in children’s health today. The event will explore compassionate care in today’s pediatric health care needs from fetal surgery, hematology and oncology innovations, teen suicide, overdose and sex trafficking as well as safety advocacy from keynote speaker Sorrel King, author of Josie’s Story. The day will end with a look at bringing mindfulness and wellness into practice as health care providers caring for children.

Registration is $60 for UC Davis employees, $125 for community registrants. Continental breakfast, lunch and program materials will be provided. A copy of the book Josie's Story will be free for the first 100 registrants and Sorrel King will sign copies of her book during lunch.

Attendees will not receive C.E. credit if they are more than 20 minutes late. No partial credit can be awarded.

The event is sponsored by Children’s Miracle Network at UC Davis.
