Sleep medicine physician Kimberly Hardin was interviewed for KVIE’s documentary on sleep deprivation.
SACRAMENTO — A documentary exploring the frustrations and health consequences of sleep disorders airs for the first time Wednesday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. on KVIE, the region’s public television station.
Produced as part of the station’s Viewfinder series, “Sleep Deprived” explores conditions that interrupt sleep — insomnia, apnea, restless leg syndrome and more — through the perspectives of those who live with them, including two UC Davis patients.
Physicians Kimberly Hardin, professor of pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine, and Matthew Chow, assistant professor of neurology, address current assessments and treatments they use to improve both the quantity and quality of their patients' sleep.
