The UC Davis Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing (CPET) program was recently highlighted in a KVIE digital short video. The three-minute video provides a detailed glimpse into this test, which helps doctors gauge whether a pediatric patient with congenital heart disease requires surgical intervention.

UC Davis Children's Hospital is currently the only hospital in the Sacramento region that offers this approach to its pediatric cardiology patients.

Yoni Dayan, assistant professor of pediatric cardiology at UC Davis Children's Hospital and director of the CPET program, was interviewed in this video. Pulmonary technicians Greg Gurman and Megan Martine were also highlighted, as they helped pediatric patient Ormillyan Fort through a CPET test.
