Clinical Interests

Dr. Seibert is a diagnostic medical physicist providing acceptance testing and quality control evaluations of medical imaging equipment as well as radiation shielding and safety measures in the use of ionizing radiation throughout UC Davis Health. He specializes in radiation dosimetry, calculation of specific radiation doses for exams, and associated radiation risk assessment for patients. His imaging informatics expertise supports the acquisition, manipulation, display and archive of medical images within the Department of Radiology.

Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Seibert's research is based on his medical physics background, and includes digital imaging implementation and evaluation, radiation dose metrics tracking and reporting for patient dose assessment, and imaging informatics applications for image quality and workflow improvement. He is an author of a highly regarded textbook, "The Essential Physics of Medical Imaging", and provides medical physics education to radiology residents and graduate students.
