Philosophy of Care

My philosophy of patient care is one of inclusion. I believe the patient and the family should be active members of the care team. It allows the doctor-patient relationship to develop with trust and understanding and a sense of transparency. 

Clinical Interests

Dr. Rahm is a pediatric cardiac surgeon providing surgical intervention to patients with congenital cardiac malformations. She also provides chest wall surgeries for conditions such as Pectus Excavatum. She has an clinical interest in narcotic sparing post-operative pain management.

Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Rahm's research focuses on improving the quality of care provided to patients with congenital cardiac disease through involvement with national collaborative efforts, home monitoring program development and narcotic sparing post-operative pain management. She is also active in the simulation/didactic curriculum development for surgical training.
