Philosophy of Care

Dr. Madan believes in educating patients about their kidney care and involving them in combined decision-making process. She incorporates positive thinking, mindfulness in counseling process so that patient can cope better with the kidney disease.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Madan is interested in providing excellent care to adults with acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease. This includes those with glomerulonephritis, electrolyte imbalance, hypertension, critical care nephrology, acute kidney replacement therapy like dialysis, long-term dialysis care in-center and at home. 

Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Madan devotes her time to the education and training of medical students, residents and fellows. She is involved in quality improvement projects and has co-authored book chapters in authoritative textbooks in nephrology. Her clinical research interests are critical care nephrology, dialysis and glomerulonephritis.
