Philosophy of Care
My aim is to provide the best possible care for a challenging chronic condition. With each patient I hope to provide long term solutions with the goal of preventing progression of disease and improving quality of life.
Clinical Interests
I am a locally trained gastroenterologist with a primary focus on inflammatory bowel disease. Our medical center provides a modern approach to treatment with experts in nutrition, pharmacy, and surgery to provide complete care for the IBD patient. I also specialize in unsedated colonoscopy/water colonoscopy for those who prefer to avoid opiates/sedatives during their procedures. Lastly, I can perform specialized chromoendoscopy for IBD patients who need more advanced colon cancer screening.
Research/Academic Interests
Dr. Stondell's research interests include: clinical trials for new medications related to IBD treatment, and water colonoscopy trials.
