Research/Academic Interests

In general, Dr. Stebbins' research interest is control of the circulation as it relates to regulation of blood pressure and blood flow during exercise. Of particular interest to him are endothelial function and vascular biology as they relate to regulation of skeletal muscle blood flow.

Recent studies have focused on the effects of dietary supplements such as fish oils, nitrates and polyphenols on blood pressure, blood flow and vascular function in healthy individuals as well as those with pre-hypertension.
