Class description

Babies are born to be breastfed. Learn normal newborn behavior and what to expect. We'll discuss topics such as the basics of breastfeeding; mother and infant nutrition, caring for the newborn; sudden infant death syndrome; and other topics of interest.

Breastfeeding expertise and other postnatal support is also part of the childbirth experience at UC Davis Health.

Breastfeeding support group

Join us every Thursday (except holidays) 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. in the Glassrock Building, Room 7106, 2521 Stockton Blvd for a free postpartum breastfeeding support group where participants will have the opportunity to share experiences and get support from others.

Refund policy

Cancellation must be requested five days prior to class date to receive a full refund. A $25 service fee will be charged after this date. If the provider cancels the course a full refund will be provided.

Parking is available in lot 25, approximately one block from the Broadway Building on 50th Street adjacent to the MIND Institute. Park with a UC Davis parking permit, or purchase a daily permit for $6.
