Dr Yellowlees believes strongly in providing patient-centered care, and as such is able to see most of his patients either in his office, or in their homes or community settings using videoconferencing, depending on the patients choice and convenience.
Clinical Interests
Dr Yellowlees is an expert in physician health and telepsychiatry who has published seven books and over 200 scientific articles and book chapters.
Most of his patients are physicians and his most recent book, a case-based textbook on physician health, “Physician Suicide: Cases and Commentaries” was published in July 2018.
He is an experienced speaker and media commentator who has written and produced over 180 online video editorials on Psychiatry for Medscape.
Research/Academic Interests
Dr Yellowlees is a Past President of the American Telemedicine Association and has a number of research interests.
He is presently working on the development and validation of asynchronous telepsychiatry, automated translation and clinical interpreting systems, and treatment protocols to improve physician health and wellness.
