A total of 114 students will receive their medical degrees at the Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for Performing Arts on the UC Davis campus.

The ceremony is not open to the public (tickets are given to the graduates to distribute to family and friends). However, the event will be broadcast live at 10 a.m. on the School of Medicine’s Facebook page.

The Class of 2024 student speaker is Cameron Clerkley, who is known for being passionate about advocating for the advancement of health equity and improving the health of Black patients.

The keynote address will be delivered by Monica Soni, chief medical officer for Covered California, the state’s health insurance marketplace. Soni, a board-certified internist, leads Covered California’s Health Equity and Quality Transformation division. She is responsible for health equity, health care strategy, medical policy, medical management and other clinical operations.

The School of Medicine has graduated nearly 5,000 students since 1972.
