Daniel H. Gong, M.S., MBA, C-PM, CWMP
Daniel H. Gong, M.S., MBA, C-PM, CWMP (Clinical Service/Laboratory Manager) is an active member of the American Pathology Foundation, California/National Society for Histotechnology, American Society for Mohs Surgery, and the American Society of Mohs Histotechnology. Founding Manager of the UC Davis Dermatopathology Service, Daniel maintains the day-to-day operations of the Dermatopathology Service and Mohs laboratories. Daniel brings 27 years of clinical and research experience stemming from his work at the University of Pacific where he earned his two Bachelor’s degrees and Master’s degree in Biological Sciences & Business Administration. Daniel also holds a certification in Practice Management from the American Pathology Foundation and is an approved MTTP (Mohs Technician Training program) trainer and slide reviewer for the American College of Mohs Surgery/American Society for Mohs Histotechnology (ACMS/ASMH). Daniel is currently teaching faculty for the American Society for Mohs Surgery and the American Society for Mohs Histotechnology.
Daniel lectures nationally, internationally, and at professional meetings. He serves on Mohs Societies boards and training committees. Daniel currently serves as the Immediate Past President for ASMH and is the Co-Chair of the Mohs Technician Training Program for the ASMH.
Technical areas of expertise include setup and maintenance of Mohs tissue processing, paraffin and frozen section immunohistochemistry including direct immunofluorescence, and regulatory guidelines. Daniel may be reached at 916-551-2688 or dgong@ucdavis.edu.
