Stem cell transplant program revitalized
Pediatric patients and their families now have access to the Sacramento region’s only pediatric stem cell transplant (bone marrow transplant) program, led by Lisa Madden, M.D., pediatric hematologist and oncologist at UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center. The program benefits from the expertise and resources developed by UC Davis Health’s adult stem cell transplant program and the UC Davis Institute for Regenerative Cures.
The region’s only NCI-designated center
UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center is the only National Cancer Institute-designated center serving the Central Valley and inland Northern California, a region of more than 6 million people. Our team includes experts such as chief of pediatric hematology and oncology Marcio Malogolowkin, M.D., an international leader in pediatric liver tumors and an authority on adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancers.
