Weekend Welcome Dinner—host a dinner for 6-12 first-year students in my home or at a restaurant

Career Conversation (on campus)—come to campus for an informal, candid Q and A with students about my specialty and professional journey in medicine

Specialty Night (off campus)—host students in my lab, clinic, or office; talk about my practice and specialty

School of Medicine Alumni Association (SOMAA) Board of Directors

The HOST Program—be a resource and provide overnight lodging to 4th year student interviewing for residency

We also welcome volunteers to host a medical student during their clerkship rotation (2, 4, and 6 week timeframes). Must not be an evaluating preceptor.

Welcome Wagon—welcome a recent grad coming for their residency in my locale

Mentorship—be a mentoring resource to current medical students

Regional Alumni Gatherings—partner with SOM Alumni Relations to host and/or help encourage attendance at an alumni gathering in my local area host a gathering

Medical Education Partnerships

• Precept a year 1 or 2 student in their longitudinal clinical experience (13 half days in a calendar year)
• Precept a year 3 student in a core clerkship of family medicine, internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, and psychiatry. (Ranges from 2 to 6 weeks in length)
