I developed a fascination with the natural beauty of the purple and pink coneflowers - their delicate petals, textured central cone, and the way the flower changes form over the life of the bloom. Translating nature into textile art is how I feed my soul and support my own mental wellbeing, so when I learned that the scientific name for the lovely coneflower plant is Echinacea and realized it's the same plant used in herbal supplements, I knew it was my inspiration for this years Healing theme.
