Improving the Lives of Patients

The UC Davis Cancer Care Network is a unique collaboration linking the insight of community cancer centers with the expertise of cutting-edge cancer researchers. By providing administrative and regulatory expertise, as well as quality oversight, the UC Davis Cancer Care Network brings availability of clinical trials to remote community cancer centers.

Breakthrough Treatments and Drug Innovations

A cancer clinical trial offers today’s newest drugs and potential breakthrough treatments before they become widely available. Innovations that address the health challenges facing our world are at the core of the UC Davis Health mission; to discover and share knowledge to advance health.

Why Are Clinical Trials Important?

Today, people are living longer thanks to successful cancer treatments, which are the result of previous clinical trials. Through clinical trials, doctors determine whether new treatments are safe, effective, and work better than current treatments. Clinical trials help us find new ways to prevent, detect, and treat cancer. They also help us improve the quality of life for people during and after treatment. When you take part in a clinical trial, you add to our knowledge about cancer and help improve cancer care for future patients. Clinical trials are the key to making progress against cancer.

To find a cancer clinical trial at a UC Davis Cancer Care Network site, use the "institution" filter on our online Cancer Clinical Trials search tool.
