Miscellaneous and Exam Fees

Acceptable additions to the fees category of the basic student expense budget include:

• Laboratory fees
• Fees associated with research or away-electives (within the continental U.S.)
• Licensing exam fees (only if required for graduation when waiver is not available)
  • Medical- United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE)*
  • Physician Assistant- Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE)**

*Exam fees for USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK can be documented after the student has registered and paid for the exams. Provide proof of registration and payment by submitting a copy of the registration application form (showing the fees charged and paid).

** Exam fees for PANCE are now part of the cost of attendance for third year PA students.
