Begin A New Study

To prepare for a new study at the Imaging Research Center, please contact Scott Martin (scomartin@ucdavis.edu).  He will send you a link to a customized form to get the process started.  Before you can begin scanning, we will need to identify the following:

  • A scanning protocol (developed with the assistance of IRC's Technical Director, Dr. Costin Tanase, or the IRC's MRI Technician, James Wallis)
  • An approved UC Davis IRB consent form for human subjects, or an IACUC approval letter and a Protocol for Animal Use and Care for animal studies
  • Be sure to get Safety Training and Operator Training completed for anyone who intends to run MRI scans
  • A source of funds for billing purposes
