Valerie joined UC Davis Health in 2020 as an out-patient Case Manager. She joined the UC Davis Palliative Care team in 2022 and has almost 12 years of prior experience in Palliative Care from NorthBay Healthcare. She has been a medical social worker for over 27 years and received her undergraduate degree from UC Davis in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and her Master’s degree from California State University, Sacramento. Valerie completed her license in 2009 and enjoys working with patients and families and helping them navigate through their health journeys.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading and finding new recipes to cook.
