Philosophy of Care

As a child and adolescent psychiatrist, she excels in her commitment to patient care and has been recognized in the program for demonstrating the highest caliber of professionalism both to the families she works with and towards her colleagues. Dr. Gupta strives to provide optimal care to her patients, including the underserved populations. She provides care to a diverse population of pediatric and adult populations. As a supervisor for trainees in our outpatient clinics, she emphasizes the importance of looking at each patient with the biopsychosocial framework in mind – considering many variables that may be contributing to patient presentations, including genetics, cultural factors, trauma, and family dynamics.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Gupta is a board-certified in general and child and adolescent psychiatrist. Dr. Gupta provides patient care at the MIND Institute and UC Davis Child Behavioral Health Clinic (CBHC). At the MIND Institute, she provides management for patients with an underlying neurodevelopmental disorder, including but not limited to: Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit/Hyperactive Disorder, DiGeorge Syndrome, Intellectual Disability, Down Syndrome.

Dr. Gupta is actively engaged in teaching in the General Psychiatry Residency Program, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program, the Pediatric Residency Program, Developmental Behavioral Pediatric Fellowship, and third year medical student clerkship didactics.
