Radiation oncologists named in magazine's 'Top Docs' list

UC Davis Health radiation oncologists Megan Daly, Ruben Fragoso, Arta Monjazeb, Shyam Rao and Richard Valicenti are listed among the region’s best doctors.

UC Davis Health radiation oncologists Megan Daly, Ruben Fragoso, Arta Monjazeb, Shyam Rao and Richard Valicenti were named in the annual list of top doctors by Sacramento Magazine.

Daly specializes in the treatment of thoracic malignancies, lymphomas, breast cancer and head & neck cancers.

Fragoso specializes in the treatment of central nervous tumors that can arise in the adult and pediatric populations, lymphomas and breast cancer.

Monjazeb specializes in the treatment of gastrointestinal malignancies (including esophageal cancer), sarcoma, melanoma and breast cancers.

Rao has special interest and significant  expertise in the treatment of head & neck cancers and skin cancers.

Valicenti is nationally and internationally recognized in the treatment of prostate cancer and other tumors, genitourinary malignancies and brain tumors.

These radiation oncologists, along with 286 physicians from 63 specialty areas throughout UC Davis Health are honored. The line up of regional experts appears in the December 2022 issue of Sacramento Magazine.

The annual top doctors list is compiled by a third-party firm, based on peer-review surveys. Thousands of doctors from various health systems and medical groups are asked to nominate colleagues they deem best in their given specialties, according to Professional Research Services, which compiles the list for the magazine.
