Urology Residency Program
UC Davis Department of Urologic Surgery has a six-year urologic surgery residency training program. The program emphasizes comprehensive clinical training and an opportunity for both clinical and basic science research at the UC Davis Health, VA Northern California Health Care System, and Kaiser Permanente Hospitals. Please read a letter from the program director of the urologic surgery residency program.
Every Tuesday morning, faculty, residents and community physicians, gather at the UC Davis Health for Urology Grand Rounds. A broad range of topics are discussed. This forum is an opportunity to hear about the latest treatments and cutting edge research in urology. Accreditation for 1.5 hrs of Category 1 CME is available.
As part of the University of California's mission, the Department of Urologic Surgery is actively conducting research. Meet our research team and find out about what areas we are currently conducting bench research and clinical trials.
The department provides ample opportunity to attend educational conferences throughout the academic year, including: mortality and morbidity, grand rounds, journal club and Davis Urology conferences.
The UC Davis School of Medicine offers a four-year, comprehensive curriculum leading to a medical degree. The first two years focus on the basic and preclinical sciences and the second two years on clinical experience. There are three urology courses offered to medical students within the medical school curriculum.
