Urodynamic testing
Urodynamics is a test used to diagnose problems related to abnormal bladder function. In many cases of urinary incontinence, urodynamics allows an accurate analysis of the problem, so that treatment can be applied more appropriately. Urodynamics is often required in the work up of female stress incontinence, post-prostatectomy incontinence, neurogenic bladder, urinary retention and other forms of voiding problems.
At UC Davis Urologic Surgery, urodynamics is carried out in the most sophisticated and up to date fashion. Pressure studies are combined with fluoroscopy to provide the most complete information about bladder function.
